About Cate

Healing and exploration takes place within safety and support. Dedicating energy to create a trusting therapeutic environment is something I do my absolute best to curate with my clients- you deserve it! I offer a somatic-based approach to therapy and I believe that your body is more than just a vessel—it’s a wise and playful storyteller, a secret keeper, a compass, and sometimes, a surprisingly loud, undeniable truth-teller. My intention as your therapist is all about helping you tap into your inner genius to engage with yourself and your relationships in a vibrant, gratifying way. Whether you’re exploring pleasure, unraveling old patterns, or trying to feel more like you, I’m here to walk (and sometimes wiggle) through it with you. As a body psychotherapist, I weave together movement, breath, self-touch, and nervous system wisdom to help you reconnect with what’s real and alive in you.

Therapy with me is not a top-down lecture—it’s a co-creative relationship where your voice, your background, and your ways of being lead the way. I prioritize consent, cultural awareness, and a sense of safety in everything we do together. I offer unwavering acceptance of your desires, questions and stories. If therapy is anything like giving birth (and let’s be honest, it kind of can be), I’m the person beside you who says, “scream if you need to, laugh when you want to, and breathe the whole way through.”

One of my favorite ways to do therapy is by inviting the different inner voices, fears, and strengths that live within you to show up and speak (aka parts work). This is about inviting all that you are into the room and honoring it— giving you the attention and compassion you deserve. Think of it as group therapy…but all the guests are you, each of them warmly welcomed. It can feel validating, surprising, and often deeply moving.

Outside of the therapy room, I’m a big fan of rollerblading, trying out new pleasure rituals, dancing alone or with my partner, laughing until I need to remind myself to breathe and being an experimental kitchen witch.

If what you read above feels resonant for you, I’d love to support you through your therapy journey.
